My House
« on: February 13, 2006, 05:38:05 AM »
I decided I would make our new house in real-life into a house for the sims...and i thought i would share it with you guys....not that I think any of you would lol

Real Life House stats:

5 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms, 2-car garage, planterbox in the backyard, roses/trellis thingy in the front pathway on the wall before you get to the front door
costs around $250,000 but we're leasing instead lol

There are also lots of closets (like the giant one between my bedroom and the stairs on the bottom floor) and some very thick walls in very inconvenient places (notice the ones on the northern side of the stairs) that made it difficult to make in the game...the roof and the stairs are off a bit...the house looks as much like my real house as possible without floorplans lol

Sim House stats:

3x5 lot
Requires Uni and NL simply because im unsure which building thingys came with which game lol
UNFURNISHED
costs $70,864
everything is maxis content

If you're wondering which bedroom is mine, its the one between the kitchen (kitchen has the sliding door) and the bathroom/laundryroom by the garage...i also share a wall with the giant closet by the stairs lol My bedroom is also the only one in the sim-house with 3 windows (in real-life its a giant window that is almost the entire wall)

Also, it was brought to my attention that the house looks huge...obviously i had to make it big enough in the game to fit in furniture we have in our rooms in real life, so although the house is kind of big, i dont think its huge in real life...we arent rich nor have we ever been...we have 4 grownups paying expenses here otherwise we'd be back in an apartment

Click the pics to make them bigger...there are more screenshots in the rar file...House has been scanned with clean installer even tho i moved my downloads folder before i made it...

umm i think thats about it...i should have pre-emptively answered any questions that may be asked about the house that gave me huge problems creating/packaging...sooooo Enjoy  :)

I'm amazed that I haven't seen this until now LOL  How embarrassing for me.  You live in a very beautiful house, Jessica.  Is the roofline like yours, too?

Well, since you've shared your house, I'll share mine. :D

lol its been here since i opened the site but since no one posted on it, it stayed towards the bottom hidden

the roof is exactly like in the sim house except not as tall....the living room area (the whole right side of the bottom floor) has vaulted ceilings and the second story rooms are about 10 feet tall, but there is also a little attic up there that i've never seen (the electrician went up there once otherwise i wouldnt have known it existed)...the entrance to the attic is in the master bedroom's closet...the master bedroom's bathroom is taller than the master bedroom so that gives me the impression that the attic just goes above the bedrooms upstairs and it obviously isn't bigger than 3 feet high.
I'm not sure if i explained that right lol

my bedroom is actually supposed to be a formal dining room but we don't even use the regular kitchen table why would we need a formal dining room? lol

i can't wait to see yours :)
