Hello Ever-Body!
« on: February 24, 2007, 04:29:20 PM »
Hello!

I like the community I see here so I think I will participate. I have been playing Sims since the original Simcity on a black and white Mac Plus back in 1988. (almost 20 years!) I am still learning to make my own skins and meshes because of the time it takes to sit down and just do it. I don't actually play with my Sims much, but I spend gobs of time hunting the web and downloading. My content collection is over 50 gigs and believe it or not, I'm quite picky.

What I like: I tend to like dramatic theme clothing that tells a story just in the costume itself. I like my skins sexy and often vulgar. I tend to like uniforms the most, as well as anything in Khaki.

Things I need the most: I need a pith helmet, a World War II army helmet for my army babes, and a round helmet so I can make these guys:

I watched them on Japanese tv back in 1978. Yes, they eventually evolved into the Power Rangers. These guys were much more cool, though.

I have a whole week off starting tomorrow and I am finally buying Milkshape, so expect a lot of questions from me coming up.

Peace and Blessings,

-Wolf

I'm glad you finally decided to introduce yourself.

so here is your official welcome:

Welcome to Wicked Sims! :grin

I was in kindergarten when you were playing SimCity on your black/white mac lol
The first computer game I ever played was Oregon Trail in 3rd grade...everytime we went to the computer lab we would either play Oregon Trail or Carmen SanDiego lol....our school had Apple computers at the time...I remember it took us at least a month (of one-hour lab sessions) to get to the end of the Oregon Trail game (if we made it that far) because the computers were so slow and I only ever finished one Carmen SanDiego game the entire time i was in elementary school lol (where in the USA)...I played Oregon Trail (5 or 6?) on this computer and it took me an hour or so to get to the end  :lol
My sims2 downloads folder is at about 7.5 gb right now...and about 1/3 of that is stuff I made and another 1/3 of that is stuff I havent bothered to delete yet lol...I cant imagine having 50gb...you must have a very fast shiny new computer  :blink

I think the closest thing to the helmets you're looking for are the motorcycle helmets by Kavar or the space helmets by Olemantiker

Not sure if you've checked it out yet but the sims2 wiki is a great place to look for things that are already made (and sometimes hard to find)

Neat! I spent a few years at Broderbund and I worked on Carmen SanDiego Word Detective and Where in Time is Carmen SanDiego? That was a long time ago. The best thing that ever came out of that brand was the Cartoon. It was great! The PBS quiz show with Rockapella wasn't too bad either.

I really like that motorcycle helmet. Thanks!

Hey, we should have a contest to see whose game takes the longest to load! We could chip in and buy some ram for the winner. Har!
