This home started out as the cottage from 'Nosferatu', but I hated the front fascade, so added a porch. Then I got carried away and started adding little touches here and there, until finally the home looked absolutely NOTHING like the movie cottage. So, I present to you now for your Simming pleasure...*drum roll* Coventry Hill!
From the stunning front and rear fascades to its open, traditional floorplan, this home defines luxurious Southern living. The home welcomes you in grand style with its two-story foyer which leads to a formal library on the left, a large formal dining room on the right, and a two-story great room with a vaulted ceiling.
No perk or amenity was left out. Downstairs there are plenty of bathrooms, a large guest suite, an exercise room, a huge kitchen with breakfast nook, and an elevator for your elder Sims that just hate all those stairs. An expansive master suite with a walk-in closet gives the bacon-bringers a beautiful private retreat from the hassles of everyday life, swaddling them with comfort.
The home has three fireplaces which provide just the right ambience. Upstairs, there are three additional bedrooms and two more bathrooms, as well as a media room and a formal music room. There is also a usable attic, or 'rumpus room' that has access to the roof. (I checked, you can put a bowling lane on the roof!
)
I purposely placed this lot on hilly terrain, and this home takes full advantage of it with a large terraced deck that has an outdoor kitchen and plenty of space to entertain, and a large pool with a poolhouse that has yet another bathroom!
The home is partially furnished, mostly to give you an idea of what is what, but also because I started decorating before I realized that I hadn't packaged the lot yet and didn't want to go through the trouble of moving Sims in, then moving them out again.
That, and once I began checking on the file size, furnishing this lot was no longer an option.
