Alright! It's been awhile since I've posted something new and I do apologize for that. But with the Holidays over (for now), and a slower pace all around, I now have time to indulge in what I enjoy doing with free time...Simming!
This Apartment is inspired by one I saw in a Better Homes & Gardens magazine that was refurbished by an Interior Decorator for himself to live in. The original plans was for a small apartment, 600 sq. ft., that would be suitable for a working single adult.
So, here we have a young adult Sim, fresh out of Mom and Dad's place, on their own at the college or university of their choice and they feel the urge, the call, the burning desire to create the next great masterpiece of the Art World. They work hard at their Art courses and slave away to perfect their technique and then...Graduation! And the real world comes knocking at their door with bills, temptations, etc and yet, they still bang away at that canvas, knowing that deep inside, they have what it takes to make it big on the coattails of their talent. And they are on their own, so they work all day, every day to further that masterpiece, even if its just a few hours at a time. And then...they start to sell their work. More and more, they make the bill payments with what they earn on the paintings they make. Finally, that day has arrived. They can call themselves...an Artiste! And what does every Artiste who has finally made it need? Why a fabulous new place to hang their canvas and their hat.
This great combo has it all for the Shooting Star Artiste. The main doors lead into a swank foyer complete with chairs for prospective clients and a counter and register to stow away all that dough they hand over for their new piece of artwork. From there, we go to the gallery, where the walls are ready for the displaying of those pieces of artwork that make the money to pay the bills as well as chairs and cappucinos for those guests needing to be talk into just one more purchase. After the paying clients leave, retire to the private apartment with all its amenities. A full-size kitchen with a workspace desk, a deluxe corner bath, and a cozy living area/bedroom. Out back, there's a beautiful garden for restive meditation and a relaxing spa room for easing away from the daily pressure of selling the personal journeys that are the soul of the Artiste, the artwork. The outdoor entertainment area also boasts a full grill and dining area for those times when an important guest needs to be feted or just a bunch of friends drop by to hang out. Upstairs from the Gallery and Apartment, there is a cozy room for guests to relax and chat as well as freshen up. The Studio, the true heart of the artist, is also located up here. Fully stocked and ready to continue the pace and drive that has lead to this point, the studio has everything necessary for The Artiste to produce the best artwork possible.
I hope this Deluxe Trio is a perfect match for the serious artist in every SimCity. I look forward to hearing your comments and stories about your Artiste. Welcome Home!
