At first glance, you'd think that a house of this kind isn't typical of homes in th Bible Belt, but actually, because of the ease at which stucco and stone are made and found here, there are a lot of homes that have Tudor-like architecture.
This home belongs to my town's mayor, and it's been in his family for over a century. Only the garage has been added in the last fifty years, and the landscaping changes with each new owner. He showed me some really old pictures of the house as it was being constructed, and told me that the stained glass was made on-site. It took three years to finish this house.
The beautiful stained glass windows provide plenty of light, and the open, airy kitchen invites you to use it...alot! Upstairs, there are four bedrooms plus a master and two additional bathrooms. The original has a three car garage, but that's just ridiculous, so I compacted it and yet left enough space for a small workshop. (My Sims put a pool table there.)
The back yard I left unadorned on purpose, because the original has been changed so often, I felt that you should have the same option. Right now the original has the remains of a gazebo and a swimming pool and a small garden. If you're interested in a garden, check out Echo's harvestable veggies at MTS2. Simveggie and Mickyss also have some really cool plants, too.
I tried to make the house look old and comfortable, like an English manor, but have the charm of the South which says, "Howdy!" Welcome home.
