I'm really curious what people will come up with. I figure there are 2 basic categories for these ideas.
1) What you'd want if there were no limitations/restrictions.
2) An idea that EA might possibly consider.
For example, if I had no restictions I'd make that non-rated expansion pack we've disscussed in the 17+ forums. That would make the game waaaay more realistic and entertaining. But as we all know EA wouldn't dare consider putting out such an expansion, have to go for option two.
I think I'd go for a Sci-Fi/Fantasy related theme. Different species and alternative possibilities for landscapes. I would love to have an aquatic species and an option of building underwater. Animorphic races.. alien races (( more than just your typical green shinned alien)). Bring some different lifespans and abilities into play. Introduce playable creatures. Gargoyles would be terribly sexy. Things like that.
What would you make?

I was always very fond of Superstar, from the original game. Either that, or another 'Makin Magic' type of EP. Not terribly original, I know, but that's what I want.
Here's an origianl thought: How about a hospital ep? You know, all of our medical career sims could actually run a hospital, or a vet clinic. It would be like Uni, except medically themed.

I'd want a "Personality Pack" This would basically make it so that sims are more varied. Shy sims skuddle around, outgoing sims strut, different VOICES. I would be happy if there were like, 5 voices for each sex/age. So that I could be like "OH CRAP... my beautiful sim has the butch voice!" or "OHHH HHAHAHA my manly bodybuilder sim has a nerd voice!". Plus I'd want my sims to have ticks. Like a sim that frowns a lot, scratches his head, or a sim that likes to pick it's nose... etc etc. Stuff that makes them more unique from each other. As it is, you just have dirty sims that like to scratch their armpits in public. I don't know if Maxis would make something like that. But I was a little disappointed when I first got the game and there was only 1 voice for each age  For my way over the top expansion, I'd like something like a fairy tale theme. I don't know. I'm not really big enough into fantasy to want something fantastic. I guess that it would be cute to have an expansion like Taeryunn said, with sims being able to live underwater. They could live in the lake off Pleasantville  It would be intersting if sims born as merpeople could go through some sort of difficult right (and vice versa) to live on land and make families with the human sims. I'd constantly be playing out "the little mermaid" if I had that expansion  But my mermaid would only have the Disney ending about half the time :}

I kinda like the personality idea...I had a "No Way!" moment a few nights ago that made me wish my sims would surprise me like that more often. (I have this sim I just adore, I thought I had her perfect until her hubby was clearing the dinner dishes and she, well, let's just say she didn't burp...but the other sims at the table didn't think it was pleasant ) Also, I'd like to see a university type lot of "apartments" where your sims had neighbors that would complain if they were too loud, things like that. It would make it a little easier to have friends if all they had to do was walk across a hall I also like the sci-fi/fantasy theme idea. I want a unicorn for a pet

One bright day, in the middle of the night, two dead boys stood up to fight. Back to back, they faced each other. Drew their swords, and shot each other. The deaf policeman heard the sound, and put those boys back in the ground. If you don't believe this lie is true, ask Harry the blind man, he saw it, too.

I think it would be the best thing ever if there was just a Sims 2 with almost limitless possibilities. You could do almost anything, kind of like Grand Theft Auto, but even more options! If you have a house in the suburbs then you have to drive into town, (You, yourself can drive as part of the game) and you have to get a job (You can't just get a job like you can in The Sims 2, You have to pass an interview) There could also be a choice of Online Multiplayer!

I always thought that it would be great if'n there where theme packs with clothes, objects and careers.
Western Theme-the cars replaced by horses, wagons, and buggies with a cowboy and prospector careers.
Science Fiction Theme-with more gadgets and terrains and a space academy type university.
Medieval Theme-with a knight career, royalty career, and court magician or jester.
Fantasy Theme-with fairies, elves, trolls, and goblins.
These are just a few ideas, but I really really want more careers and more lifetime aspirations.

Amen to the Life Aspirations...my Sims are all knowledge (and they're either max 7 skills or Mad scientist)

That's fascinating since all of my Sims tend to be either Romance aspirations or Fortune aspirations. I only have one that is a Knowledge aspiration, and all he ever wants to do is change his life status from normal to something bizarre like zombie, or he wants to be saved from death...is his life so bad that he wants near-death experiences to let him know that he is truly alive? It gets depressing.

I wish that instead of Sims 3, they made a giant expansion to Sims2 that would allow me to take my sims on adventures and really play with them instead of just play dress up. Kind of merge the Sims into an RPG for me.
I think a sci fi expansion is long over due. How about an Atlantis theme?

It seems like all my sims either want to reach the top of the Education career or they want to graduate 3 kids from college. It's like my game is stuck on those 2 aspirations! GAH! I've seen on other boards where they've made their own SP's- is it feasible for us?

I would love it if our sims could farm. For real farm with real horses and cattle. Stuff like that.
Or they could do an outer space expansion pack. One where our sims could travel to mars and meet the Aliens on their home turf.

Ultimately, I've always felt a little jipped that I missed the Makin' Magic expansion for Sims 1.
Dear EA,
Please make a Makin' Magic EP for TS2.
Thanks, ~Nokomys

I agree so much with you right there. I loved the Making Magic in Sims 1, and I would really love to have it for Sims 2 also. I think it would be so cool to see you turn your neighbours into frogs. XD lol.
