Cayman Court *Wicked Sims Exclusive!*
« on: December 05, 2006, 10:57:22 AM »
Just like any other region in the U.S.,  the South has things that are unique to the area, especially when it comes to food.  Here are a list of foods unique to the South.  While you may find these items exported to other parts of the U.S., they were created here:

Okra:  Fried, baked, and boiled, this is a vegetable that you either love or hate.

Chitterlings: pronounced, 'chitlin's, they are the cleaned and fried intestines of pigs.  Trust me, they taste better than they sound.  Cooked properly, you couldn't tell the difference between them and scrambled eggs.

Grits: Ground corn, but not quite small enough for flour, and smaller than 'hominy', another Southern dish.  This is the southern version of Malt O Meal.  Some folks add sugar to theirs, most add butter and salt.  Either way, their a Southern staple that can be eaten whenever.  I like to eat them in place of mashed potatoes because they are a lower fat and carb food than potatoes.

Red Velvet Cake: A delicious red-colored cake made with cream cheese.  There's a type of Twinkie found only here called a Bingle that uses the recipe.

Fried Green Tomatoes: There is a movie with the same title, but it has very little to do with this Southern Delicacy.  Like the name implies, you take green tomatoes, slice them, add a little light breading, and deep fry them until they are a golden brown. Yummy!

Tomato Gravy: My favorite.  Instead of adding meat or meat broth when making regular gravy, add diced tomatoes.  Perfect over biscuits, or by itself!

Like the food, Southern homes are unique, even if alot of the architecture has been exported.  An antebellum roof here, a wraparound porch there, and viola! You have a nice Southern home.  There are a few other subtle details that set them apart, however, and most of those have to deal with porches.  The porch on a home in the South is an extra room, a place to gather with family and friends, and an open-air greenhouse all rolled into one.  People in the South will often spend as much on their porch furniture as they will their living room furniture.

This home has all of the above, especially lots of porches.  It's a beautiful beach house, like those found along the Mississippi Delta.  I spent a lot of time on all of the little details (it even comes with a pickup truck, a Southern fixture) and I hope y'all enjoy it.

Yeah, that's a working driveway, so Nightlife will be needed.

This is such a cute house!  Can you use it without Nightlife and just not have the garage working?

You probably can use it without Nightlife, but you'd have to install it with the Cleaninstaller.
