Typically when you think of Southern homes, you think Antebellum designs with beautiful columns, or the Classical Colonial design with a large porch, also with the big columns. This home, however reflects one of the other styles prevalent in the Deep South: The Farmhouse. The Burlingame is a cozy three bedroom home completely furnished and landscaped and ready for move-in. The half-timbered design is also very common here because of the ease at which the materials can be found, although the white plaster is usually painted white to cover the fact that red Alabama clay was used. Trust me, anyone who has ever gotten stuck in that red clay will tell you, not even a hurricane is going to be able to knock this house over once that stuff has dried!
